The pleated skirt is the first pattern I’ve sewn from Bodyfit Sewing Patterns and surely won’t be the last one. I love everything about this project. The made to measure is really a sewing breakthrough if, as me, you don’t like to take care of fitting issues and prefer spend your time on sewing. Moreover the instructions with video are great and the resulting skirt is beautiful with great fitting. I’ve especially enjoyed the way the waistband is constructed with Petersham ribbon to give a couture-like result. For my convenience I have added some hand basting during the sewing process (for the pleats, the waistband and the hem) as I prefer it rather than using pins. I’ve also topstitched the pleats (after the hemming) with a narrow edgestitch to help them be maintained in the right place. It will simplify the pressing of the skirt. I’ve also added a tiny sew-on snap fastener on the last pleat at the same height as the other pleats are sewn. Thank you Maja for such a great fitted pattern!
